I love this wallpaper! Even though I bought volumes 1 & 2 of Offbeat years ago, I'm still gonna buy the new reprints once they are released, including volume 3! I love Offbeat so much!!! Best wishes to you *wulfmune! Thanks so much for continuing this story!
Aaaaaah, this makes me so excited! Just came back to make it up my desktop and got stuck staring and speculating for ages. XD I love Tory and the cats and the blushes, especially Colin's. I don't care how long it takes, the thought that there will someday be a volume 3 makes me so happy.
i'm waiting until i have a contract in writing before i make any more announcements about the status of book 3. legalities take forever. i'm sorry for the wait but thank you for expressing interest ;_; your support is very appreciated!
It's interesting how much of a difference a few years can make on a perception of a character. When I first read Offbeat I was very supportive of Tory and the way the antagonized those around him. I re read the books the other day and Tory just came off to me as a spoiled brat. I can't wait to get my hands on the third book. Tory's cute and all, but heres to the hope that he matures just a tiny a bit once everything is said and done.
I still feel the same way for Tory as I did a few years ago. Yeah he may be spoiled but he's also on a journey of self discovery that will lead to growth. I think you saw that starting bud in Vol 2. For some the struggle with identity is more difficult than others and I think both Tory and Colin are dealing with it, we still just don't know enough about Colin to see how its affecting him.
thanks for your feedback. it's very interesting to hear how your perception changed. I dislike taking so long to finish a story for the very same reason. but some growth on Tory's part was always one of my goals with the story.
I'm so glad to hear that publication of the third volume is now possibly in the midst. So many questions were raised at the end of volume two and I simply squirming to find out their answers. I wish you the best of luck in your negotiations.
thank you! the...slowness of the process drives me crazy but i will be sure to let people know...when i can XD;;; aaaggh! it has given me time to rework the script and hopefully the finished product will be highly satisfying.
I got into Off*Beat when I was Colin and Tory's age. I'm so happy that I'm finally going to be able to see more of their story. It meant a lot to me then, and it means a lot to me now.
I wanted to let you know that I wrote a long review for Off*Beat back in my days at PopCultureShock: [link] . My writing has improved since then, but it really encapsulates how amazing I think your series is. Keep up the great work Jen!
Thank you so much for your review and your continued support of off*beat. I would be lying if I didn't admit that it's been kind of a hard experience, but your shared thoughts give me a lot of strength. Legal stuffs are still in the works.
I'm always really happy to hear when people have invested interest in my stories and characters. I spend a lot of time in the thoughts of my characters and their voices just take a life of their own. I'm not always sure how they will be received by the reader, but I try to stay true to that voice.
Man. I can remember absolutely freaking out when you posted the wallpaper that was like this, this back before volume 2 was going to be released. The purple one, with all the never-before-seen panels in the background. I think I had an aneurysm when I saw it, purely out of excitement of the teasing images of NEW CONTENT.
I love all the details you put into the backgrounds on those panels! So excited to see more of these guys. ^^ Get some good rest and take it easy for a bit! Sounds like you had such a busy time. You deserve it!! <3
