I thought I would show in more detail how I clean up my traditionally inked line work in a quick couple minutes in photoshop.

1. top frame shows the raw scan of inked work at 600dpi.
2. second frame from the top shows Image>Adjustment>Levels
with black and white selections adjusted.
3. third frame down shows a Filter>Brushstrokes>Accented edges Setting adjust according to page. in this case it was edge width=2 brightness=32 smoothness=8

last two frames show a comparison of the originally scanned line work to the cleaned up line work at web shown size.
